Ottawa Hotels with Pools

Whether you’re visiting Ottawa’s museums, parks, or historical sites, staying at a hotel with a pool adds an extra layer of enjoyment. The very best Ottawa hotels with pools ensure you have an oasis of calm and relaxation at your fingertips.

Here are the top Ottawa hotels with pools.

One of the nicest indoor pools in Ottawa is found at Hilton Lac Leamy.

Fairmont Château Laurier

The Fairmont Château Laurier stands as a symbol of timeless elegance and sophistication in the heart of Ottawa. This historic hotel offers stunning views of Canada’s Parliament Buildings and the Ottawa River and a magnificent indoor pool experience.

The Art-Deco style pool area vibes like a Roman bathhouse, with marble columns and floor-to-ceiling windows. Taking a dip here after a long day of exploring the city is pure indulgence. The pool is 20 yards (18.3 meters) with complimentary lockers and a robust fitness center.

There’s room for everyone at Fairmont Chateau Laurier’s pool.

The Westin Ottawa

Situated just steps away from Parliament Hill and the bustling ByWard Market, The Westin Ottawa offers a modern and stylish retreat for travellers. Its indoor, heated saltwater pool is a haven for relaxation, offering a peaceful ambiance with its calming blue decor and comfortable lounge chairs.

Adjacent to the pool, a whirlpool beckons, while the WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio, complete with Peloton bikes, lures fitness enthusiasts.

Swim after your workout at Westin.

The Lord Elgin Hotel

The Lord Elgin Hotel is an iconic property that blends history with modern amenities. This centrally located gem features a long, indoor lap pool, open from 6am – 10pm. In addition to your swim, guests can use the whirlpool, sauna, and fitness club.

The hotel, built in the 1940s, still exudes a whiff of glamour. The bathrooms are marble, and there’s plenty of posh art dotting the property.

Swim laps or simply splash around the Lord Elgin pool.

Ottawa Marriott

The Ottawa Marriott lures little ones with popcorn and candy stations in their lobby on weekends, plus a welcome gift for children. Besides a large indoor pool, the hotel sports a teen room with foosball and gaming devices, plus a Kids’ Zone Playroom for younger kids.

They really dole out the kid perks at Ottawa Marriott.

Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Downtown

You’ll love the indoor pool size at the Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Downtown. Plus, it has plush lounge chairs and chairs to comfortably relax in as others splash about.

From here, you can walk to all of downtown Ottawa’s main attractions, as they are just blocks away. A 24-hour pantry sells drinks and snacks, and pets are welcome.

Forget about the sites and spend the afternoon at the Hilton Garden Inn’s pool.

Les Suites Hotel Ottawa

One of the most affordable hotels in downtown Ottawa, Les Suites Hotel provides apartment-style suites with full kitchens, ideal for families. It also boasts an indoor pool, a 24-hour fitness facility and a garden courtyard where the kids can burn off energy while parents relax on loungers.

Les Suites is one of the most affordably priced hotels in downtown Ottawa.

Hampton Inn

Officially known as Hampton Inn by Hilton Ottawa, this budget-friendly hotel is just off Highway 417. A daily hot breakfast is included in your stay, pets are welcome, and laundry facilities are available. While the indoor pool isn’t flashy, it’s large enough for multiple families to splash out in.

Breakfast, laundry facilities and a pool are some of the perks at the Hampton Inn.

Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Airport

You can’t beat the convenience of the affordable-priced Hilton Garden Inn Ottawa Airport. It offers a 24-hour shuttle to the airport, situated only 1 km away. Windows surround the indoor pool, and you’ll likely want to soak up as much of that natural light as possible before boarding your plane.

Ottawa Hotels with Waterslides

Unfortunately, the only hotel with a waterslide in Ottawa was the Travelodge by Wyndham Ottawa West, but it’s now permanently closed.

Look to the bottom of the post for waterslide action, where we offer another alternative.

Guess What There Is No Pool

We had to call Andaz Ottawa ByWard Market directly because we found different reports online regarding their pool status. Andaz is a brand known for its contemporary design and creative atmosphere, so you’d think they’d offer a rooftop pool or something similarly luxurious. Sadly, they don’t. Still, it’s a swish property that sports a fitness facility and Ottawa’s highest rooftop lounge.

Ottawa Hotels with Outdoor Pools

Whether you’d like to combine a swim with city views from a rooftop pool or simply soak up the sunshine outdoors, there are plenty of Ottawa hotels with outdoor pools that provide a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of travel. Here are a few of our favourites.

Brookstreet Hotel

No matter the weather, you’ll have pool access at the Brookstreet Hotel. This luxurious hotel sports a seasonal 30-foot outdoor pool in Ottawa’s west end. The outdoor pool area also features a hot tub and barrel sauna. You’ll also find a delightful outdoor patio, where you can take advantage of food and beverage service during the summer months.

The indoor saltwater pool is located in Flex Fitness Studio. It’s perfect for young families, and there’s an adjacent wading pool for children. Also indoors is a hot tub and lounge area. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the space feels light and fresh.

Enjoy the resort-style perks at Brookstreet Hotel.

Ramada by Wyndham Ottawa On The Rideau

Situated on the banks of the Rideau River, a mere 8 km from the Ottawa Airport, you’ll find Ramada by Wyndham Ottawa On The Rideau. This pet-friendly, motel-style property offers affordable rates and a seasonal outdoor pool.

Anybody else getting Dirty Dancing vibes from this Ramada?

Best Western Plus Ottawa City Centre

Nearby Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, Best Western Plus Ottawa City Centre, is about a 20-minute drive to attractions in downtown Ottawa. Its location offers super quick access to the 417 highway, and with in-room microwaves and fridges, it’s easy for families to save money by dining in.

Its seasonal outdoor pool is a big hit for families looking to cool off after sightseeing.

It’s large like a city pool, but it’s reserved for Best Western guests.

Motel Adam

Because it’s on the other side of the river, the Motel Adam is technically in Gatineau, not Ottawa. Still, it’s only about a 10-minute drive to downtown Ottawa’s main attractions.

In addition to the heated outdoor pool on a pretty patio, families will appreciate the on-site washer and dryer and complimentary continental breakfasts. The pool is usually open from June 15 until the first weekend in September.

Motel Adam is a gem of a property you’re sure to enjoy.

Hilton Lac-Leamy

We love this resort-style hotel with its spa, multiple pools, and Dale Chihuly works of art. There are indoor AND outdoor pools at Hilton Lac-Leamy. The outdoor pool connects with the indoor one so if it suddenly rains, you can dog paddle indoors where hopefully you’ve kept your towel.

Situated just across the river in Gatineau, this lakefront hotel also sports a casino and tennis court on-site.

Hilton Lac Leamy is a favourite destination among locals for staycation getaways.

Calypso Theme Waterpark & Resort

A short drive from Ottawa, Calypso is one of Canada’s largest themed waterparks. The vibe here is tropical, and you’ll feel transported amid the light humidity and indoor palms.

While you can’t stay overnight here, you can plan a day to visit the waterpark, which has 35 water slides, 2 themed rivers, and a 52,000-square-foot wave pool.

You’ll want to take wee ones to the Zoo Lagoon, where thrill seekers can plummet down the tallest freestanding waterslide tower in North America. On-site are several restaurants and cabana suites to rent for the day.

It’s worth budgeting a day to spend at Calypso when visiting the Ottawa area.

Whether you’re making a splash at Calypso or enjoying a quick dip at your hotel, these accommodations ensure that your vacation in Canada’s capital is memorable. Just remember to pack your swimsuit.
