Have you ever been to the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival? I’ve been to the one in Banff, but never the one in Calgary. The good folks at Brookline Public Relations have offered a pair of tickets to one lucky Travels with Baggage reader for this Friday! Please read the full post for information on how to win.
Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival
The festival takes place this Friday and Saturday October 18th and 19th at the Stampede Park BMO Centre. Food and wine aficionados can gorge themselves on local culinary creations and wines from around the world. With over 200 exhibitor booths, you’ll want to pace yourself, but fortunately the Grand Tasting Hall is mere minutes away from the LRT station so you don’t have to worry about parking or designated drivers. Besides wine, there’s loads of bevvies to throw back, from beer (including non-alcoholic) to bourbon, liqueurs and spirits.

Want to check it out for yourself? Simply comment below with your favourite watering hole or restaurant in the Rocky Mountains by midnight Wednesday, October 16. I’ll draw a name out of a hat and will announce the winner on Thursday. Your name will be given to Brookline and tickets can be picked up at will call. Here’s the fine print:
The tickets are for Friday, October 18 (5 pm to 10 p.m.). When presented at the door, these tickets will allow for complimentary access into the Grand Tasting Hall. Tickets are not transferable to another session. Please note that all attendees will need to purchase sampling coupons (50 cents each) to use in exchange for samples of food, wine and other beverages. This is an adult only event. All attendees must be 18 years or older. Minors (including infants) are not permitted to attend.
Where’s your favourite spot to indulge in food and drink in the Rocky Mountains?
I love the Post Hotel in Lake Louise. The food is exquisite and the wine is abundant.
You had me at abundant wine!
Congratulations Sharron! You’ve just won tickets to the festival for Friday night! Tickets will be left for you at will call. I’ll send further details to you via email.
Crazyweed because weed is crazy.
Banff Springs Hotel — it’s all about the ambience and heritage.
Yes! And there’s a nice range inside Banff Springs, too.
