I should be writing a blog post about the fantastic new workout class I discovered in Canmore. I should be drafting another post that I’m supposed to upload Monday morning for the Calgary Herald. And I really should be writing a snippet on 17th Ave., for an article on Canada’s trendiest streets. But as you can tell, I’m not. Here’s why:
I spent a good chunk of Saturday at Quarry Lake, kayaking and staring up at the blazing September sky.
I went mountain biking with my family on Sunday.
I spent a lot of time just piddling around, talking Buddy for walks, visiting friends, you know.
I wish a had a better ability to focus, but I’m also trying to take advantage of the glorious weather before it turns all too quickly into to shoulder season. This weekend my personal life won out over my professional life, and I’m OK with that.
How about you? Do you ever feel guilty about what you didn’t accomplish on the weekend?
